Since completing his 5 year double degree at RMIT, Tim has been practicing as a chiropractor for over 15 years in a variety of health settings. He combined all his experience and passion for multi-disciplinary health care to create “Body to Balance”. He has a particular interest in treating disc bulges, TMJ conditions, neck-related headaches, shoulder impingement injuries and work-related injuries. Tim prides himself on not just treating the condition, but educating his patient's on lifestyle changes, occupational modifications, return to work plans and exercise rehabilitation to prevent a relapse. He is a strong believer in using a diverse range of techniques that are tailored to the patient, and thus as well as providing traditional chiropractic techniques he also offers soft-tissue therapy, dry-needlingflexion distraction therapy and occupational health & safety consulting.

He is a member of Chiropractic Australia and regularly attends continuing professional development courses run by the Chiropractic & Osteopathic College of Australasia. In 2016 Tim travelled to Fort Wayne, Indiana USA, to complete training and gain his certification in Cox Flexion Distraction Technique (for the management of lumbar disc protrusions and radiculopathy/ sciatica). Tim also conducts pre-employment medical examinations for large companies around the south eastern suburbs through OH&Solutions. In 2021 he commenced a Graduate Diploma in Health, Safety and Ergonomics at Latrobe University to further his knowledge in this area.

Outside of being a chiropractor Tim loves spending time with his wife and daughters, travel and working on his home DIY projects.

Body to Balance now provides a number of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) services which include:
• Safe Manual Handling Training
• Workplace Hazard, Risk & Control Assessments
• Ergonomic Workstation Assessments
• Health Screening & Health Monitoring of Employees
• Workplace Treatment & Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation
• Injury Management & Return to Work Programs
• Pre-Employment Medical Examinations (through OH&Solutions)

In Victoria the Occupational Health & Safety Act 2004 and the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation & Compensation Act 2013 state an employer has a responsibility to provide a safe working environment and when a worker becomes injured to manage this injury responsibly. Despite being a legal requirement, there is extensive research to indicate that OHS programs result in a healthy workforce that results in a vast number of benefits such as increased productivity, reduced work-related injuries and illnesses, staff loyalty and retention, a positive social climate and is usually more cost effective. Likewise, when OHS controls fail resulting in a work-related injury or illness early workplace identification, treatment and management including assisting a timely and safe return to work plan is effective in reducing the economic costs of the work-related injury or illness to the employer (Ellis, 2001; Waddell 2006; WorkSafe Victoria, 2013; Safework Australia, 2019; Safework Australia, 2020).
